Volunteers

How to volunteer

Volunteering is a fundamental link in Fundaneed as it allows us to put solidarity aid into practice and to nourish ourselves with new ideas, experiences and links.

According to Spanish Law 45/2015, volunteering is considered to be those actions that contribute to enriching the quality of life of society and preserving the environment, and which are carried out by physical individuals.

Volunteering must meet a series of conditions:

  • Be of a solidarity nature.
  • Be carried out freely and voluntarily by the individual, without imposition or obligation.
  • Not receive a salary or material retribution.
  • Be carried out within a volunteer organisation in our territory or outside it.
  • The physical assistance of the person is not necessary; tasks carried out by means of ICT are also included in this concept.

Does volunteering really serve any purpose?

Of course it does! There is no catch. Volunteers are a very important part of NGOs. Through volunteering, a sea of solidarity is built that can reach every corner of the planet.

If you want to help others, what you should value is that selfless feeling that has triggered that click in you. Take the first step! It doesn’t matter if you don’t have much time, if you are not a scholar, if you are not fluent in languages, you can always help.
