Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy for children aims to achieve maximum independence and participation of the child in their daily activities and routines. It seeks to promote health and participation in life through the occupations, in this case, typical of child development. This therapy becomes necessary when there are problems in child development or risk of suffering them.

Children at Fundaneed come to Occupational Therapy to overcome challenges related to the areas of self-care, productivity, leisure and free time or due to difficulties in sensory-motor, cognitive and psychosocial development components, which may interfere with the learning process.

This therapy uses unique and specialized intervention tools that are based on:

  • The analysis of the activity and the environment where it is performed.
  • Modification and adaptation of the activity.
  • The modification and adaptation of the environment.

“Inclusion opens minds and unites people.”
