Who we are

Fundaneed

We are a therapeutic health and social center that operates as a non-profit organization with a social interest, and we have been open since 2017.

We offer society a positive vision, as we believe that we all must take care of the mental health and emotional well-being of our children and youth, which is our foundational purpose.

Our main objective is to treat and detect neurodevelopmental disorders, evaluate them for an accurate diagnosis, and propose the most effective evidence-based treatments to alleviate the various disorders that may be present.

Our motto is “early detection is the key to overcoming.”

Fundaneed is aware of the serious mental health problems and emotional well-being issues that our children face. It is important to seek help if experiencing them. Mental health care in Spain is an outstanding issue, and we want to promote the revitalization of primary care.

PURPOSES OF THE FOUNDATION

  • Direct collaboration with all organizations, institutions, and private entities in order to provide a rapid response to the needs of a population that feels defenseless in the face of a disorder, which in the majority of cases they do not know how to cope with or where to turn for help.

  • Guidance, information, and support to families, patients, and the environment in which individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders need to navigate.

  • Early diagnosis of these pathologies with the objective of finding real and practical solutions as quickly as possible to help affected individuals and their families, aiming to prevent their exclusion from society due to a lack of information, knowledge, or appropriate care strategies.

  • Implementing the most suitable treatment for each case as quickly as possible to establish guidelines for attention, understanding, and care for children and/or adolescents suffering from any type of neurodevelopmental disorder.

  • Involvement in all areas of development for these patients to establish a collaborative approach, enabling the establishment of similar patterns of action and generalizing learnings that can facilitate their lives.

  • Non-discrimination based on any social factors for any patient, regardless of their economic, cultural, or social background, thus facilitating their integration into society and preventing the increasing healthcare expenses resulting from the current waiting lists in the healthcare services of Salamanca due to delayed diagnosis. The “lost” resources can then be allocated to other issues for the benefit of the entire population of Salamanca.

  • Formation of groups of professionals in the field of neurodevelopmental disorders, enabling university faculties to offer internship positions for students to specialize in these types of disorders, which are becoming increasingly prevalent.

  • Creation of working groups and research teams to make relevant advancements in finding increasingly practical solutions for these types of disorders.

  • Utilization of multidisciplinary cutting-edge treatments to improve the quality of life for affected individuals, their families, and all individuals who, for various reasons, need to be in contact with this type of patients.

  • Equipping our center with advanced technologies for the entire process of diagnostic orientation and treatment, which may not be accessible to some individuals due to lack of economic resources, as they are predominantly found in private sectors.
