It has been published today 25th October 2018 in the spanish BOE the approval by the Plenary of the Congress of Deputies, the recognition of the right of suffrage of all persons with disabilities, and with this I want to share my excitement as the mother of a young woman with intellectual disabilities, that my daughter will be able to vote along with hundreds of thousands of citizens with intellectual disabilities, because all of them are one more in our society and in our State, who fight for their social inclusion. A great step towards Full Inclusion, a fundamental right of this great group with functional diversity.
Thanks to all those who have made possible the elimination of this deprivation of a fundamental right, which was nineteenth century and outdated. Society is moving forward and so is its code of ethics, and the law, albeit slowly, will come to recognise the fundamental right of full inclusion of people with functional diversity. Until then, we will continue to support this social campaign from our foundation.
