Both early detection and early intervention can mean a breakthrough in the quality of life of children. The team of specialists applies screening instruments (questionnaires and developmental scales) that are designed to help identify children and youth who may have developmental difficulties and/or delays in one or more specific areas.
Screening and diagnosis
A comprehensive assessment allows us to build a profile of each individual’s strengths and difficulties.
Our assessment is done through:
- An interview with parents to obtain detailed information about past and present adaptive and maladaptive difficulties and behaviors, as well as specific current needs of concern.
- Assessment and observation sessions conducted directly with the child, adolescent or adult.
- Preparation of a detailed report including the description of each of the tests administered, with the respective interpretation of the results, together with a diagnostic orientation based on the DSM-V.
- Conclusions and orientations of the most suitable interventions according to the profile of strengths and individual difficulties.
- Family counseling.
