On 21 April, to celebrate World Health Day, a march was held from Puerta de Zamora to the Plaza Mayor in the city of Salamanca, under the slogan chosen by the WHO “Health for all people”, in which members, representatives and volunteers from 45 public health organisations and associations in Salamanca took part.
With the colour green as the protagonist, we walked along the central Zamora street and posed in the Plaza Mayor, forming the slogan of the day. Afterwards, we were received at the City Hall by the Mayor of the city, Mr. Carlos García Carbayo, the Councillor for Public Health and Consumer Affairs, Ms. Mª José Fresnadillo, and Ms. Ana Suárez Otero, Councillor for Family and Equality.
The Mayor praised the “continuous, effective and quiet” work that we health groups carry out on a daily basis to improve the quality of life of people suffering from any pathology or disorder, their families and their immediate environment.
