Last Friday 23rd June a “Healthy Leisure Day” was held in Cabrerizos (Salamanca, Spain).
These days were organized by the City Council of Cabrerizos in collaboration with other entities such as the Diputación de Salamanca, Judo Club Doryoku, The Arrow of Salamanca and Fundaneed, among others.
It was a playful days that took place in the fronton tennis court, where different activities were carried out. Archery, Skating, Judo, Table Tennis, Workshop “Decorate your tote bag”, parachute and Psychomotricity workshop, the latter carried out by Fundaneed.
Psychomotricity is a discipline based on the understanding of the human being as an integrated whole, where the motor, cognitive and emotional aspects are closely related.
This workshop was aimed at children between 6 and 12 years of age and lasted approximately one hour. Activities were carried out with the aim of stimulating psychomotor development, promoting cognitive development, encouraging emotional expression and improving socialisation.
The workshop, which was attended by more than 15 children, was a great success, giving rise to synergies between the different institutions and entities. This workshop was carried out by Andrea Conde Barral, occupational therapist of our entity.
Currently, Fundaneed is in contact with the Cabrerizos Town Council in order to establish these therapies in the village during the next school year.
