Hundreds of Salamancans flooded the streets last Saturday to participate in the second edition of the Solidarity Run and Walk for Suicide Prevention, a moving event that united the city in a message of support and hope.
It is an event that seeks to raise awareness and support those facing emotional difficulties. Organized by the FUNDANEED Foundation, which works by and for Mental Health, with the close collaboration of the Salamanca City Council, the Provincial Council, Onda Cero Salamanca, La Gaceta, Caja Rural de Salamanca, the ADARSA group, the event counted with the outstanding presence of key figures in the field of health and research.
A Morning of Community and Reflection
A collective commitment to combat the stigma associated with suicide and promote mental health. Pilar Díaz, journalist of Onda Cero Salamanca and speaker of the event, led the activities with a combination of enthusiasm and sensitivity, underlining the importance of the day.
Live Roundtable: Expert Voices that Make a Difference
One of the highlights of the event was the panel discussion in which Pilar Diaz interviewed a panel of high-profile guests live between 10:15 and 10:50. Among them were:

Journalist Pilar Díaz, the voice of Onda Cero Salamanca, once again demonstrated her commitment to prevention, keeping the spirit of the day alive. La Gaceta de Salamanca for its diffusion. Special mention should be made of all the speakers who participated in the round table, contributing their experience and knowledge to enrich the debate on suicide prevention. Their presence raised the level of the event and contributed to its scientific and social dimension.
The greatest thanks go to the volunteers and the more than 600 participants, who filled the streets of Salamanca with hope and solidarity.
