On September 27, the Psychomotor Workshop was held in Galindo and Perahuy, in collaboration with the city council, which provided space and disseminated it.
Psychomotricity is a discipline that is based on the understanding of the human being as an integrated totality, where the motor, the cognitive and the emotional are closely related.
This workshop was aimed at boys and girls between 6 and 12 years old, lasting approximately one hour. Activities were carried out with the aim of stimulating psychomotor development, enhancing cognitive development, encouraging emotional expression and improving socialization.
The workshop, attended by 10 children, was a complete success, giving rise to synergies between the different institutions and entities. This workshop was carried out by Andrea Conde Barral, Occupational Therapist of our entity.
Both entities will carry out the Children’s Occupational Therapy group during the 2023-2024 academic year to publicize its importance.
In this children’s occupational therapy group, different aspects of the child will be treated through play, such as motor, cognitive, sensory development, emotional expression and self-regulation, socialization and communication. All this, in order to prevent congenital or non-acquired difficulties of the child.
PREVENTION IS THE KEY TO OVERCOME.
