I EDITION OF THE RACE AND WALK AGAINST SUICIDE IN SALAMANCA

On October 15th, we had an exemplary and pioneering day in defense of the fundamental right to life, with great emotion as we broke the silence in this I March and Charity Run against Suicide, to raise awareness about the need for direct and effective support to prevent our minors and young people from suicidal, self-harming, and depressive thoughts.

Salamanca dressed in yellow, organized by our foundation and by Asbyc in collaboration with the Salamanca City Council, the Salamanca Provincial Council, the General Foundation of the University of Salamanca, as well as the Salamanca Nursing College.

We have had the support of responsible journalism, which is crucial for this awareness-raising work, with our speaker being a great journalist from ONDA CERO, Pilar Díaz Gómez.

Our thanks to the guests in the interview with the journalist and our speaker, in the lead-up to the #Breakthesilence march and run, for #Suicideprevention:

Alejandro Becerro, social action manager of Unionistas de Salamanca C. F.
and the College of Psychologists of CyL, represented by the emergency specialist psychologist Belen Silguero Ayuso.

Likewise, our honorary board was present with Enrique Cabero (president of the C. E. S.) and M. José García Romo (president of the Illustrious Nursing College of Salamanca).

There is no vaccine against mental illness, and the only substitute is to make the population, especially minors and young people, aware of tools to manage complex or tragic life episodes they will experience.

We are firmly committed from our FUNDANEED Foundation, day by day, to this positive dissemination on social networks and in schools, both in cities and urban areas.

Let us build a responsible society regarding the importance of preventing mental illnesses in our minors and young people.
