Last 27th of March the “II Women’s Congress”, organised by La Gaceta, was held in the Casino of Salamanca. Our foundation Fundaneed has been represented in this important event, whose aim has been to give visibility to the commitment that both companies and institutions have in diversity and equality.
The Congress was attended by Isabel Blanco Llamas, Councillor for Family and Equal Opportunities; Ana Suárez, Councillor for Family and Equal Opportunities of the Salamanca City Council; Eva Picado, Councillor for Social Welfare, Family and Youth and Inmaculada Sánchez Barrios, Director of the Equality Unit of the University of Salamanca. All of them agreed that, although the situation of women has improved, there is still a need for greater equality.
During the conference, Elisa Barrio, Director of Human Resources Castilla y León at Caixa Bank; Rocío García Alonso, livestock farmer, agricultural expert and agronomist engineer; Gema Martín, Director of Human Resources Castilla y León at Caixa Bank; Gema Martín, Director of Human Resources Castilla y León at Caixa Bank, spoke about her personal experience.

These speakers agreed that on occasions they have not been valued because they are women, and they say that we must continue to fight to be treated as equals, “we cannot lose so much female talent”, in the words of the First Deputy Mayor.
